I probably could have my Tumblr card removed for this, but I just recently got into Doctor Who. Watched the last 4 episodes or so. Now that the season is over, plan to take the time to go back and watch from the previous doctor and all the way up to now.
***Rant ahead*** (Jumbled thoughts)
I don’t see the problem with the new Xbox. People say it doesn’t appeal to core gamers. How?! It has better internals, better controls, and more tools for developers like the cloud computing. We all knew the used games was going to happen. Publishers have been fighting for this. Microsoft is just getting on the bandwagon early. PC did it YEARS ago. I remember trying to return a game because I didn’t have a PC that could play it. Guess what?! I was out of luck since I used the serial number already. Sure you may not use the TV portion, or play sports games, or like FPS. I plan to use the TV. I still have the cord. I will Kinect the shit out of my Direct TV (if it works with them). I love playing FPS. The rumble triggers are going to be fucking awesome.
Who cares if it doesn’t have backwards combat ability. The 360 did really have it. The PS3 only had it shortly. The PS4 doesn’t have it. Doing this only slows down innovation. As a developer I deal with this all the time. Trying to work across the board does more harm then good.
Now yes the reveal sucked. Microsoft is not good at it. Not every detailed is ironed out. But it’s better than what Sony did. Almost everything was along the lines, “This is what we want to see happen. Not sure if it will be at launch.” How is this not discussed more?!?!
As a gamer that will own the Xbox 1, PS4, and keep my 360. Rant over.
